Glass Fusing is the technique of joining two or more pieces of glass by heat in a kiln. In this fast paced introduction to fused glass, students will learn fusing techniques by creating fused glass ornaments. Topics will include cutting, preparing pieces for the kiln and firing. These are the same techniques used to make other items like bowls, jewelry, wall art etc. Each participant can expect make two pieces to be picked up the following week at the gallery. Many designs (or design your own) and colors to choose from; all materials included. Please wear closed toe shoes. Bring your reading glasses if you need them.
